    look who’s finally joined!

look who got pushed to the side

    #make way for white princesses

Belle - French, Mulan - Chinese, Aurora/ Sleeping Beauty - Germa, Ariel - Atlantican, Jasmine - Arabian, Cinderella - French/ German (the story originates in Europe … The Cinderella movie with Drew Barrymore depict her as French), Pocahontas - Native American, Rapunzel - German, Tiana - African/ American, Kida (Atlantis: the lost empire) - Atlantean, Giselle - Andalasean (she comes from Andalasia) but now you can say she’s American.

and anyone who thinks white is white is f***ing wrong. German, French, Irish, Polish, American, Scottish, Russian, Swedish, Danish, Greek, Dtuch, Turkish, Belgian, Portugese, Czech, Norway, Bulgarian, British.. there’s all different heritages of white people too. and for your information Germans, Irish, Polish all got treated like shit coming to america too so no one got special treatment except white British American males in a certain age group and income level. everyone else got the crap end of the stick.

that said I think Disney does an excellent job of different nationalities and heritages in their princesses. stop whining that there’s only one black princess. They’re in a line. IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. Disney is not being racist. they lined up the princesses to show who’s on the “official” line-up. Kida and Elwony didn’t make it to that list yet they’re princesses too, you don’t see a lot of people complaining how disney is racist for keeping them off the list. Tiana is there clearl viewed not hidden or downcast in any way so calm down. everyone not just the comments here

I feel like I’m the only POC who doesn’t care that Tiana is at the back of the line. I mean… they have a black princess. They have an arabian princess. they have an asian (chinese) princess. they have a native american princess. They have diversity.

Let’s be real- Merida is the newest, bam she’s going to the front. (i am generalizing for the rest. i don’t have stats or anything, just from what i’ve observed on here). Rapunzel, Belle, Cinderella and Ariel are probably the most popular princesses in the line up. People like Tiana, Jasmine and Aurora, just not as much as the others. then there is snow white, who is not one of the most popular princess. Pocahontas and Mulan- half the time people complain that they “aren’t real princesses”. Which is probably why they aren’t as popular.

    yea. i am done

Yeah they do have diversity. And you know the line-up can’t have 100 princesses in it, so if Disney start to make an Hispanic princess, another white princess, or another arabian princess, well somebody’s gonna complain. There will always be pissed off people. Can’t you just go back to the point of the post ? YAY Merida is an official princess now.

I feel like the past three wonderful people deserve this:

    Boom.

    Oh Allah, please forgive me,
For the wounds caused by my sharp tongue
For the insanity that has consumed my thoughts
For the fire of jealousy and hatred burning through my eyes
For the bitterness trapped in my cold broken heart

For the ways I have hurt others and hurt myself
For the ways I have wronged others and wronged myself

But most of all, please forgive me for not remembering,
For not turning to You at certain times,
Whether I was afflicted by pain or filled with joy.
